We are delighted to confirm that His Majesty King Charles III will retain Patronage of the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) following a review of the Patronages of The late Queen, The former Prince of Wales and The former Duchess of Cornwall.

Greg Pickup, Chief Executive of CCT says: “We are deeply honoured that His Majesty the King has agreed to continue being Patron of the Churches Conservation Trust. The endorsement of a Royal Patronage means a great deal to our supporters, volunteers and donors and shines a light on the importance of historic churches in the English landscape.”

CCT was established in 1969 as the Redundant Churches Fund, a unique partnership of church, state and charity which was the result of tireless campaigning by a pioneering group of 1960s church heritage enthusiasts. The charity came into being via the Church of England's Pastoral Measure of 1968, approved by Parliament.
