This week, we welcomed a new site to our national estate of historic churches. We are pleased to announce that grade I listed All Saints’ Church in Berrington, Shropshire has become the newest member of the CCT collection, which now numbers 358 churches across England.

We are launching an appeal to repair an important historic window at St Mary’s Church, Washbrook, Suffolk, after senseless vandalism caused significant damage to its Gothic stained glass.

This week, the Government confirmed the end of Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme (LPWS). This will be replaced by a new capital funding scheme for listed places of worship called the Places of Worship Renewal Fund, which will have a total funding pot of £92m.

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Mahalia France-Mir, Local Community Officer in our north regional team, on 20th January 2026. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Mahalia’s family and loved ones.
St Mary, Roecliffe - Virgin and Child Window

A community-led appeal is raising £45,000 to conserve the historic Virgin and Child window at St Mary’s, Roecliffe, with £7,000 already secured to protect this important heritage feature.
