Join the celebrations im Sunderland for the Tall Ships Race 2018.


We’re delighted that the Canny Space is part of the celebrations for the Sunderland Tall Ships Race between July 11-14.  Holy Trinity provides the dramatic backdrop to the Georgian Festival taking place on the ‘people’s park’, the focus of family activities during the event.  The church will be open to the public for guided tours, relaxation in the Library, and children’s activities, including a self-guided ‘George the Mouse’ trail.

Visitors will be also able to experience Matt Stokes’ sound installation, ‘Gogmagog’, and learn more about the Canny Space project plan.  

Public opening times:
11 July  - 1pm-8pm
12 July  - 1pm-7pm
13 July - 1pm-7pm

Guided tours offered 11-13 July:
1.30pm; 3.30pm, 5pm – max 25 people. Tickets available on the door.
