Heritage Open Days at The Canny Space - Sunderland
Holy Trinity Church, Sunderland, Tyne & Wear
Take a hard hat tour of the work going on at Holy Trinity Church!
Holy Trinity is Sunderland's first parish church, built between 1718 - 1719. It once housed the first public library, civic rooms and even a fire engine! The Trust is working in partnership to develop the redundant building back into community use as a cultural venue that attracts visitors from the region to experience the arts, heritage and learning in this beautiful historic building.
Come along from 10:30 until 15:00 for hard hat tours, to discover some interesting facts about the history of the church and see some of the original features in situ.
There will also be a service at 15:00 which is open to all.
