Come to our Medieval Crypt to discover smells and sounds from the past

Nestled into the medieval city walls, St John on the Wall is one of Bristol’s oldest buildings and has stood witness to the hustle and bustle of city life for hundreds of years.

Families can:
•    Make a sweet scented bag
•    Create a ‘tussie-mussie’ or nosegay
•    Compose their own music using handheld instruments from the past.

St John on the Wall is a historic building and the entrance is near the archway on Nelson Street. Please be mindful of the uneven floors and narrow entrance / steps.  Toilets are a short walk away.
