Roenaissance is proud to announce that Cadenza, Cambridge University’s premier a capella group will perform a concert at 7.30pm.
Cadenza is a 13-piece a cappella group made up of students studying in Cambridge. Founded in 1997, the group has become known for their stunning arrangements spanning a range of genres, performing in both Cambridge and further afield to critical acclaim.
Cadenza concerts offer something for all ages, showcasing their intricate vocal arrangements of everything from upbeat contemporary pop to foot-tapping classic jazz.
In recent years, Cadenza were winners of the Voice Festival UK University Championships, coming away with awards for Outstanding Musicality and Outstanding Arrangement, and 2016 UK semi-finalists in the prestigious ICCAs, placing them amongst the best a cappella groups the UK has to offer. Their previous single and music video, Thrill of the Uptown Freak, was nominated for “Best Mixed Collegiate Video” by the Contemporary A Cappella Society in 2018. Cadenza were delighted to release their debut EP last summer, “Under the Lights”, which is now available on streaming platforms including iTunes and Spotify. They also travelled for the first time to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing for five days to rave reviews and sell-out audiences at theSpace Triplex.
Cadenza are excited to announce a one-night performance of their Fringe Festival setlist in the distinctive setting of Christ Church, Macclesfield, before their return to Edinburgh for a two-week run!
Refreshments (drinks, crepes, cakes and sandwiches) will be available in the Christ Church gardens courtesy of La Petite Frog.
