A Concert of clarinet and piano with Beverley Budd and her clarinet and pianist Jayne South.

The Friends of St Peter’s Church are pleased to welcome back Beverley Budd with her clarinet, this time with pianist Jayne South.  Beverley and Jayne met when students at Trinity College of Music, London.   After losing touch and pursuing separate careers they met by chance again recently and have had a lot of fun working through the clarinet repertoire.

This concert is made up of salon music and miniatures for the clarinet from the 1850s to the 1950s, written by, or for, some of the most famous clarinettists of their day.  Included in the concert are pieces by Saint-Saens, German, Messager, Curzon and Templeton.
