On 4th August 1918, George V called for a National Day of Prayer for Peace. The country is again called to pray for 100 days from 4th August 2018 to Armistice Day for Peace and Hope in the World.

On 4th August 2018, the country is again called to pray for Peace and Hope for 100 days, up to 11th November, Armistice Day.

As part of this, Capel United Church will be holding 3 special Prayer gatherings at Capel Church, between 17.00 and 18.00 on

        Saturday 4th August 2018

        Saturday 8th September 2018

        Saturday 13th October 2018

There will be a time of personal reflection with music, alongside readings from poetry, literature and the Bible.

Each gathering will conclude with a simple Service of Compline.

Everyone is welcome to join us for all or part of the time.
