Gillian & Alan Grove visit their 100th CCT church, St Mary Magdalene, Croome D'Abitot
Some 3 years ago, in pursuit of our interest in Medieval Wall Paintings, we visited St Mary Barton Bendish in Norfolk. It was then that we discovered The Churches Conservation Trust. Since that time we have become captivated by the social history, architecture, and landscape setting of these unique buildings.
Travelling in our Motorhome, and by grouping Churches with National Trust and English Heritage properties, we have now visited 100 CCT churches. It was appropriate that this landmark took place at St Mary Magdalene at Croome D'Abitot on a Supporters day centred on Evesham.
We have learnt a great deal about the work of the Trust through the Supporters Days and encourage as many people as possible to support the Trust and visit these Heritage Gems.
