Two Apprenticeships Available at St Swithun’s SASS Project

Beginning next September, two people in Worcester will get the chance to learn a new trade by working on St Swithun’s Church, right in the heart of the city. Funded with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, two apprenticeships, Heritage Solid Plastering and Trowel Occupations will be available. Apprentices will work on the upcoming repairs to transform this Grade I listed historic church into a contemporary arts centre, named Sound and Art @ St Swithun’s (SASS). Significant repair works are needed to the original 18th century wooden fixtures, fittings, roof and ceiling spaces.

Both apprenticeships will last 12 months.

Anybody interested is encouraged to apply by sending their CV to Catherine Kemp, SASS Project Manager: [email protected]
