Successful start to Christmas in York

On 1st December more than 500 visitors walked through the door of the historic Holy Trinity in Goodramgate for our Winter Warmer event. Coinciding with the St. Nicholas' Fayre celebrations, the weekend is traditionally one of the busiest in York's calendar.

Expert guides were on hand to explain the history of Holy Trinity and visitors were treated to hot spiced apple juice, cups of hot tea and homemade cakes. Volunteer Anna Hughes presented a gingerbread model of Holy Trinity, complete with stained-glass windows made from Liquorice Allsorts!

The event also raised a record amount in donations, helping to protect churches in the care of the CCT.
