Norfolk Cathedral Camp

31 Aug 2011

The camps take place each summer in cathedrals and churches all over Britain to undertake projects such as cleaning, and archaeological surveys.

The Norfolk Cathedral Camp focussed on a project to record ledger stones inside churches as part of a national survey. The volunteers visited twelve of our Norfolk churches, covering some 600 miles in the minibus in the 4 days they were working on it. The group also spent half a day cleaning St Laurence’s Church in Norwich, in preparation for Heritage Open Days.
