New Trustee Edward Harley

The Prime Minister's office today annouced that Edward Harley has been appointed a member of The Churches Conservation Trust’s (CCT) board of trustees, by appointment of Her Majesty the Queen and on the advice of the Archbishops of the Church of England. Mr Harley is currently chairman of the Heritage Conservation Trust, the Mappa Mundi Trust and is a past president of the Historic Houses Association.

Crispin Truman Chief Executive, CCT, says “I’m thrilled that Edward is joining us. Edward has long been a passionate and active supporter of heritage and historic churches and brings a huge range of expertise to our Board”.

Mr Harley brings decades of experience and knowledge of heritage and historic buildings. He is also a trustee of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, the Burghley House Preservation Trust and is a Lay Canon of Hereford Cathedral.

Peter Ainsworth, Chairman, CCT, says “Edward’s extensive knowledge of heritage, cultural and church issues will be of great value to the board and I am delighted that he is joining us.”
