Holy Trinity York recognised by VisitEngland accolade

VisitEngland, the country’s national tourist board, has recognised the high quality of the visitor experience at Holy Trinity York with an accolade for the welcome it offers visitors.

Holy Trinity received the accolade as part of the Visitor Attractions Quality Scheme which ranks it among some of the country's best tourist attractions, alongside museums, galleries, historic houses and other places of interest.

James Berresford, Chief Executive of VisitEngland said: “These accolades recognise the wonderful and innovative ways attractions in England are going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure people enjoy their visit, from a friendly and warm welcome, to high-quality food and drink on offer, or capturing the imagination with creative experiences.”

Rosi Lister, Director of the Churches Conservation Trust in the North, said: “It’s great that Holy Trinity York has received this accolade from VisitEngland, as it recognises just how much this hidden treasure has to offer the thousands of visitors who come through its doors every year. It’s particularly welcome as a stamp of approval for our volunteers at Holy Trinity, who give up hundreds of hours of their time to welcome visitors to Holy Trinity. I’m grateful to VisitEngland for helping us to thank them for all they do.”
