Walking Tour of Historic York
Holy Trinity Church, York, North Yorkshire
Wander through the historic highlights of York on this self-guided tour between two of our churches.
Nestled behind a busy shopping street, Holy Trinity Church, Goodramgate, is medieval York's hidden treasure. This year for Church Tourism Week, it is also the starting point for a leisurely meander to what is possibly an even less well-known site: St Lawrence's Tower. Also under the care of the Trust, the tower with its Norman doorway is the only surviving remnant of a now demolished medieval church.
Along the way you will discover further architectural highlights of one of England's most historic cities. Pick up a trail booklet in Holy Trinity and enjoy!
