The Future of Our Rural Parish Churches - a talk by Trevor Cooper MBE, Chair of The Ecclesiological Society.

The Churches Conservation Trust has taken on some of our finest rural parish churches when they have become redundant, but only a few. As the future of our rural churches comes into question once more, some thoughts will be given by the Chairman of the Ecclesiological Society, Trevor Cooper, MBE.

The talk follows the AGM (at 2.30pm) of the Friends’ Group and is at St Mary’s Church.

THE TALK IS AT 3pm and all members of the public are welcome.  Please sit in on the AGM if you wish.   REFRESHMENTS FOLLOW THE TALK

The Ecclesiological Society dates from 1879 and was founded for those interested in and enthusiastic about church history and church architecture. Members’ interests range over all periods and places, from the earliest churches in Britain through to the most recent development in architecture, fittings and liturgy throughout the world.
