An audio-visual art installation by Pale Blue Dot Collective (artists Louise Beer and John Hooper)

Pale Blue Dot Collective present an audio visual art installation in All Saints' Church, Aldwincle, juxtaposing the cosmic history of our solar system with the lived experience of non-human animals.

Featuring sound recordings from Fermyn Woods and their own archive to create spaces within the church that feel like forests, including photography and film of species they have encountered on residency in Aotearoa New Zealand and elsewhere.

The installation will engage local schools and include an event series engaging astronomers, geologists and biologists that draw parallels between cosmological time and geological time. The project will help audiences to see the local landscape with a new perspective - one that explores the cosmic significance of our planet's ecosystems and the climate crisis.
