Exquisite seasonal music by candlelight in the stunning medieval church of St John’s.

A magical concert of seasonal music in the stunning medieval church of St John’s, Duxford, beautifully decorated and lit by candles. The programme will include Ballads for Christmas by Andrew Downes and A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten.

The Cantabrigians are an all-female group formed in 2016. They perform a wide range of classical repertoire from ancient to modern and will present here a specially-devised programme for the Christmas season. Their busy schedule sees many performances in the Cambridge area and we are delighted to welcome them for the first time to Duxford to raise money for The Churches Conservation Trust.

Truly, an opportunity not to be missed to experience The Cantabrigians’ harmonious sound in this ancient space, surrounded by over 900 years of history.

Arriving at dusk to the softly-lit church, you’re invited to enjoy the music (a programme of approximately one hour’s duration) followed by refreshments and a chance to meet The Cantabrigians in person - a rare opportunity to chat to professional singers.
