Come and celebrate the launch of Sound & Art at St Swithun's with a jam packed day of family activities and live performances!

Finally, St Swithun's is open for business and ready to showcase the best in arts and music to the good people of Worcester and further afield. We are delighted to be able to open our doors and welcome you to our beautiful Georgian church and experience everything we have to offer.

Our launch on Saturday October 22nd will be split in two halves:

From 11am - 3pm, our team will be on site to provide Georgian themed family activities such as 'make your own tricorn hat', 'decorate a Georgian pocket', 'learn a new language', 'dress like a Georgian!' All materials and costumes will be provided. This is a free activity and provided on a first come, first served basis. We have limited capacity so arrive early to guarantee your family a place, however family activities will take place over 4 hours so you're more than likely to get a place. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Then, from 3pm - 9:30pm we have an amazing all day session of live music featuring Lionhaire, Poppy WS, Chloe Mogg, Lucien Ralinoro, Hannah Law, 42 Worcester (Spoken Word), DJ Dan Wall (Funk, Soul, Latin, Beats & Grooves)

We will have a licensed bar at the church from 3pm until close including bar snacks. We use the 'Challenge25 policy' so please bring I.D. with you, if you wish to purchase alcoholic drinks.

As mentioned, the entire event is free and due to capacity, admission is based on a first come, first served basis. If you leave the building you will have to start admission again. Children are welcome throughout the duration of the event, however they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Scroll down for more information on the performers:

Lionhaire (8:15pm - 9:15pm)

Lionhaire is a singer-songwriter born in the U.K. but spending her childhood in Paris. Growing up   between the two countries has had an influence on her music, as she flips casually between the    languages. A gifted guitar player, she's adds her smooth vocals which carry echoes of Lauryn Hill.

Poppy WS (7:00pm - 7:45pm)

Poppy WS is a multi-instrumentalist who combines guitar, piano, vocals & rhythms using live looping to create original music. Her unique piano style stems from a cocktail of ragtime, classical and jazz; her rhythms from roots reggae to trip hop; and a voice resembling the tones of Eva Cassidy.

Chloe Mogg (6:00pm - 6:30pm)

Chloe Mogg is an award-winning singer-songwriter, journalist and PR that aims to bring life and colour to every project she’s part of. Known for her quirkiness, 'parrot' hair & smile, she haunts the audience with her ability to tell a story with only her voice, guitar and ‘strange’ effects.

Lucien Ralinoro (5:00pm - 5:30pm)

Luc is one of the most young and gifted singer-songwriters on the Worcester live music circuit, using his craft to play alternative takes on popular songs. You can often hear his voice soaring above the hustle and bustle of the city streets, with people finding it hard not to stop and take in his tones.

Hannah Law (4:00pm - 4:30pm)

Bristol based singer-songwriter Hannah Law blends folk, alternative rock and anything else she can get her hands on to create her beautifully unique and eerie sound. A regular performer at folk festivals in the U.K. as well as Worcester’s own intimate music festival.

42 Worcester (3:00pm - 3:30pm)

42 Worcester showcases the dark, the weird and the uncanny. A spoken word collective of writers and fans of Gothic Horror, SF, Fantasy and Alternative Genres. You never know what you might hear at 42! From fantastical whimsy, by way of dystopian visions and futuristic imaginings.

DJ Dan Wall (From 3pm until close, filling in the gaps!)

As a vinyl enthusiast and DJ for over 20 years, Dan has shared his love of music on radio and at clubs and festivals up and down the UK and Europe for many years. With an extensive collection, covering everything from hard rock to gospel, Cumbia to Japanese pop, he loves nothing more than digging out a few of his favourites to share with anyone who will listen.
