A Midsummer Night's Dream. Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. Egeus, Hermia's father, prefers Demetrius as a suitor, and enlists the aid of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to enforce his wishes upon his daughter.
This is My Theatre returns to the church with their telling of Shakespeare's haunting love mystery, A Midsummer Night's Dream. A one-act play.
Refreshments available.
The theatre group was formed in 2016 by Sarah Slator, and provides classical plays and literature that are accessible to all. Sarah, the Artistic Director, tell us: "There is something very special about creating work for our church venues. The architecture and features within the building are intrinsic to the way we stage our shows and as each venue is unique, no two performances are ever the same. I love that!"
Even in summer, church venues can be cold, so please dress warmly.
Performances at 1.30 pm and 6.30 pm
Tickets available online - www.thisismytheatre.com, or at Steve Goldings Fruit & Veg, 6 Chapel Hill, Stansted.
