Join us for an evening of folk and classical guitar

KATIE SPENCER Every once in a while we are blessed with a singer who is quite simply born to write and perform exquisite songs with confident, gentle assurance. Based in the UK, Katie Spencer is a progressive-folk singer songwriter and guitarist inspired by the people and her surroundings in the Yorkshire countryside. Spencer has gigged extensively in the past three years both headlining and supporting established artists - most recently opening shows for Ralph McTell, Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) and Martin Stephenson & The Daintees. She has also received radio play from the likes of Iain Anderson - BBC Radio Scotland, and BBC Introducing.

“I had not seen Katie before but was immediately and hugely impressed. With her reverb-laden acoustic guitar, powerful and original song writing and a voice like warm honey, she was for me, the discovery of the festival.”

– FATEA Magazine

JOE CLARK – With a background in both folk and classical guitar, Joe has played both solo and in bands, most notably Joe’s Cafe and Red Herring.  Following a break of several years Joe’s return to performing has been welcomed by fans and new audiences alike.

“a talented guitarist who plays elaborate classical, folk and popular tunes… accompanied by his deep, gruff voice.”
