A Church Tourism Week event - illustrated talk by John Vigar, celebrated church historian


As part of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Friends Group of St. Mary the Virgin at North Stoke, celebrated church historian John Vigar discusses English Medieval Wall Painting, with particular reference to St. Mary's.

This expert on church architecture will give an illustrated talk on one of his favourite topics.  John Vigar is a Trustee of Friends of Friendless Churches, a member of the Advisory Council of Norfolk Churches Trust and of the Academic Board of the Centre for Parish Church Studies.  A lively and sought-after lecturer and guide, he has recorded 13,000 of the 16,000 Anglican churches in England and Wales.
