A Church Tourism Week event - An illustrated talk by John Vigar, celebrated church historian


As part of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Friends Group of St. Mary the Virgin at North Stoke, John Vigar, the celebrated church historian, talks about The English Medieval Wall Paintings. with particular reference to St. Mary's.

The expert on church architecture will give an illustrated talk on one of his favourite topics.  John Vigar is a Trustee of The Friends of Friendless Churches, a member of the Advisory Council  of The Norfolk Churches Trust and of the Academic Board of The Centre for Parish Church Studies.  A lively and sought-after lecturer and guide, he has recorded 13,000 of the 16,000 Anglican churches in England and Wales.
