Open for Yorkshire Churches Day and Heritage Open Days: the lovely church of St Peter, Wintringham decorated for harvest. A beautiful church in a lovely Yorkshire Wolds setting with superb Jacobean woodwork and carving.
The Friends of St. Peter's will decorate this beautiful medieval church for harvest. The church will be decorated with plenty of wheat, barley, fruit and vegetables to celebrate where our food comes from. Guided church tours will be available and you can learn about the four (!!) species of bats that reside in St. Peter's.
Parking next to the church, guided tours of the church at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.

Access
There is a wheelchair ramp next to the steps that lead into the church, but no ramp up the steps that lead to the altar (on a raised platform behind a Jacobean screen. There is a gravel path leading through the graveyard from a small iron gate to the church. The path is approximately 1m wide. There is a parking bay which can accommodate 4 to 6 cars opposite the church, separated from the church by the village road. The church has no bathrooms, but the Friends of St. Peter's will provide refreshments.
