Family Crafts and Storytelling, Brougham Wartime Weekend
Make your own parachute and hear thrilling tales of Brougham during World War Two.
On Saturday May 11th and Sunday May 12th the stunning Brougham Hall, near Penrith, Cumbria, hosts a Wartime Weekend featuring military vehicles, live music and people in costume to commemorate World War Two.
As part of this event, The Churches Conservation Trust are hosting free 'have a go' family crafts and activities including make your own parachute for toy soldiers; look at historic maps and aerial photographs of the area and hear thrilling stories of tanks, escaped prisoners of war and daring deeds from the war.
Activities from 10am until 4pm. Free although donations welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
