Ely Pilgrimage to Bury St Edmunds Cathedral and Open Day at All Saints' Icklingham
The Millennium celebrations to mark the Abbey of St Edmund being founded by King Canute in 1020 will kick off with a 2 day walk from Ely Cathedral visiting All Saints Church in Icklingham on the 5th April ending at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
On Tuesday 5th April, the church will be open for anyone who wants to come along and they can find out more about All Saints or how they can get involved or volunteer for the CCT. Refreshments will be available from 11.30am
To mark the millennium of the Abbey of St Edmund a special pilgrimage to St Edmundsbury Cathedral which will follow in the footsteps of the twenty monks who founded the resting place of Edmund, king and martyr, walkers will be taking one of the routes to the Cathedral on 4th and 5th April 2020 c. 30 miles. They will be stopping at All Saints Church in Icklingham for refreshments.
