A graduate-led visual arts festival on the theme of 'Locality'.
Divine Locale Contemporary Art Festival is a graduate-led visual art festival in Derby, newly established this year. The festival has a dynamic two-week programme that consists of a group exhibition, workshops, artist talks and film screenings.
Recent arts graduates and emerging artists were invited to explore, re-imagine and create work in response to their local environment and community. They responded to theme directly and abstractly with interpretations that links to these definitions of 'Locality':
-a neighbourhood or area
-the site or scene of an event
-the fact or condition of having a location or position in space
-the fact or condition of having a location in space or time
-a particular place, situation, or location
