A special tour of culinary and heritage delights in Leicestershire

Join us for an exclusive tour of the delicacies and decadences of Leicestershire. We will be visiting All Saints’ Church in Beeby with its beautiful stone carvings and its stunning stained glass window by Victorian artist Thomas Willement.

We will then visit the quintessential English town Melton Mowbray, ‘Rural Capital of Food’, famed for its artisan cheeses, pies and ales.

Leicestershire’s only Tea Guild Award of Excellence Tea Room, Mrs B’s, will provide you with your own picnic hamper which will include local produce of meats and cheese with prosecco.

Enjoy your picnic feast at St Michael & All Angels, Edmondthorpe a treasure trove of fascinating monuments, intriguing architectural features and local patronage of the Smith family.

We will then visit the church of St Mary's Freeby.  Much of this church dates from the fourteenth and fifteenth century and is in the Early English Style, with later restorations in the 1890s, before returning to Oakham station.

Proceeds from this tour will help raise money to repair damage caused by lead thefts at All Saints' Church in Beeby and St Michael & All Angels' in Edmondthorpe.
