Cello Concert: Yalda Davis - Badley
St Mary's Church, Badley, Suffolk
Enjoy a spring walk and relax a while with cello music at St Mary's, as part of the Badley tour
Yalda Davis has set herself a challenge to play the cello in over 400 churches in Suffolk. Having started in 2017, she is well on the way to almost half of them, and today, you can enjoy her performance as a concert, at St. Mary's Badley.
There's a long drive or walk to the church across a farm track, but the church is worth seeing, and the additional performance gives you a good reason for a rest and refreshment.
For anyone who doesn't know Badley church... it is quite something - the music is just an excuse! If you are able, we would thoroughly recommend a spring walk from Badley (to the east) or Little London or Moats Tye (to the west), both are about a mile's walk. If you wish to drive, the church can be accessed only from the B1113 (the Stowmarket-Needham Market road): a track leads across the fields, also about a mile, and there is plenty of space to park outside the church.
