Filey Brigg is not what you think it is. Renowned storyteller Carmel Page will tell the tale of how it was formed and of the dangers of eating Yorkshire Parkin.

Agnes Richardson is so warm-hearted Tom Ferris melts when they meet. But is love enough for them to wed or are there bridges they still need to cross?

Carmel will enchant you with tales from the Yorkshire Coast suitable for children and adults alike.

Carmel page is a storyteller and author. She is a Southerner by birth but has lived in Sheffield for so long she has started using her backdoor as her front door and eating her dinner at lunchtime. She has a house on the edge of Sheffield but tends to live in a world of her own. She wakes up every morning with her head so full of stories she likes to lie in bed and think about them for a long time. Carmel tells enchanting stories in schools, hospitals, museums, tents and cemeteries.

The History Press chose her to write Yorkshire Folk Tales for Children based on her reputation. The book was describe by the Yorkshire Reporter as “Captivating, enchanting and charming.”

Carmel’s stories transport you to lands where anything can happen and the world might never be the same again.
