Discover the art of bellringing in this hands-on workshop -perfect if you just want to have a go or are considering bellringing as a hobby


Bell-ringing is great for the mind, body and soul.  It's a rewarding skill on a personal level but also as a team effort. Learn about change ringing, the history and mechanics of full circle ringing, the story of St Nicholas’ Tower, and most importantly how to ring a bell! Led by experienced ringers, participants will get the chance to practice ringing the bells in full circle.

Everyone interested in bell-ringing is welcome whether this is just a one-off opportunity to have-a-go, or you are looking to pursue ringing further.  If you do want to take this further there are plenty of opportunities at the practice nights in Lynn and surrounding villages. This workshop will serve as a great introduction to a really sociable hobby that will allow you to visit all sorts of interesting churches and meet other ringers.

Bellringing can be hazardous but our experienced ringers will guide you in all aspect of health and safety.  Anyone with a heart or serious medical condition is advised not to take part.  Access to the ringing chamber is via a modern wooden staircase. Children aged 12 and over are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Only £5 per person, refreshments included. Places are limited, so booking is essential.
