Go batty at this free, all ages event exploring the nocturnal world of bats

Norfolk Bats in Churches Project presents a fantastic Bat Night, led by ecologist and bat expert Philip Parker.
The event includes:
  • A 50 minute introductory talk on bats, how they use the church and churchyard, and some of the challenges that churches face when living with bats. And children’s craft activities (with prizes)
  • There may be some captive live bats to see at close quarters!
  • After this, it may be possible to see the bats flying around the church using state of the art infra-red equipment and monitors. If the weather is fair, we will also be able to see the bats emerge. Bats are likely to start emerging in the church about 1.5 hours after the event commences.
Refreshments available. No booking is required, just drop-in.

This event takes place during Church Tourism Week 2017.
