Suffolk: Breckland Walk

Discover three churches starting in West Stow north of Bury St Edmunds on the edge of the Kings Forest with its wealth of walking and cycling routes

A scenic circular walk where you can visit three churches.  St Mary’s in West Stow and St Mary’s in Culford are still used for regular worship.  All Saints in Wordwell is in the care of the CCT and  was restored by the Victorians but still contains stone carvings and a chancel arch from Norman times, and 15th century benches.

A moderately easy walk of 3.5 miles (5.5 kms) which is narrow with uneven sections and can be muddy after rain.  The walk will take approx 1 hour to walk.

All Saints in Icklingham is only a 5 minute drive away and well worth a visit to see this unspoilt Suffolk church.
