Brockley Stores bus stop to St Nicolas Church
Be careful crossing over the road to Brockley Stores and walk on the pavement to the left until you come to the turning onto St Nicholas Way and follow the brown historic church sign. An easy 10 minute walk down the lane takes you past three massive holm oaks to the church. Be sure to have a good look around and see if you can find the pirate grave in the churchyard. On the way back you can stop for refreshments at the Brockley Stores deli/cafe before hopping back on the next bus.

Puxton Lane, Hewish bus stop to Holy Saviour's Church, Puxton
Less than 15 minutes bus ride from Brockley hop off and walk up Puxton Lane which quietly weaves around for about a mile, turning right at the triangle. Then turn where you see the brown signpost a short way along Puxton Road, to visit St Saviour’s with its distinctive leaning tower. To return you can take the 20 minute walk back along Puxton Lane to the bus stop.

Holy Saviour's Church, Puxton to Strawberry Line, Congresbury bus stop
This is an alternative route back to the bus which is mainly off road and takes about one hour to walk:

Leave Holy St Saviour’s back through the gate and turn right onto Puxton Lane. As the road bends to the right take the bridle way on the left across Puxton Moor. Follow this track to the end, turn left, and then follow it round, across a bridge over a rhyne and continue to a crossroads. Here turn right into the track which runs between the rhynes. Go through the next field, keeping to the left edge. Turn the corner at the end and go through another gate to continue along the bridleway. Turn left when you meet the Strawberry Line path and continue to the main road. The Strawberry LIne bus stop is across the road to the right.

Puxton Moor
Puxton Moor nature reserve is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It covers a large area of pasture land with rhynes running along. These rhynes are filled with rare plants and many different animals. Some of the birds that reside in the rhynes are sedge warblers, reed warblers and whimbrel.
