National Information and Library Assistant

This role would provide excellent experience for anyone who enjoys working with different types of information and databases and wants to gain valuable experience in library and information work within the heritage sector.

Range of tasks to be carried out:

  • Developing ‘bite-sized’ training guides for ThankQ, the Trust’s contact and fundraising database.
  • Inputting core information on ThankQ and Qube, our property management system. This may involve doing some research to plug information gaps or to check that existing information is up-to-date.
  • Assisting teams with data cleansing projects. Running reports to export and import data.
  • Helping with the reorganisation of our core church information by renaming and organising information held in our central hard copy and online church folders.

Skills required: It would suit anyone who is comfortable using electronic information resources/databases, with good organisational skills and an excellent eye for detail.

Location: Volunteers will be based at our London, Cambridge or Leeds offices.

Time commitment: Flexible but at least a half day a week.

Support: Volunteers will have an induction to their new role and will be supported by the Knowledge Manager or the Administration Officer and other staff where appropriate.  Training will be provided on the relevant databases and systems.
