St Margaret's Church, Hales, Norfolk

St Margaret's, Hales and St Gregory's, Heckingham are two stunning 11th century thatched churches with wonderful stone carved door ways and round towers. Just a short distance apart, both of these churches need essential rethatching and additional work needs to be carried out on the windows at Hales.

There are many ways to help raise funds and awareness of our work. Events can be small or large, from a cake sale in the office through to a fundraising dinner, or organising events at the church. We have a suggested calendar of events, and it is also an opportunity for creativity to develop your own event and fundraising ideas. Please discuss your time availability when getting in touch.

Every little really does help so if you have the time and would like to get involved in supporting this project please do get in touch. You could also speak with friends and family members to get even more people involved with fundraising activities!

This volunteering role is supported by the regional Community Fundraiser and Volunteering Officer.

Engaging with visitors and raising funds is vital to the work of the Churches Conservation Trust to ensure these buildings remain open, cared for and accessible to visitors, whilst also helping to preserve them for future generations.
