What is a Campaign Sponsorship Volunteer?

The Campaign Sponsorship Volunteer will support the work of Local Community Officers by helping to gather current information, contacts and background on relevant potential sponsors for the 2019 Christmas Memory Tree Campaign.

Duties will include researching online and through interactions both on the phone and via emails, possible potential companies and individuals who make like to sponsor a Christmas Memory Tree in their local CCT Church.
This opportunity has the potential to be very flexible and offers excellent scope for development.

The Role: Campaign Sponsorship Volunteer – Information for Candidates

The Campaign Sponsorship Officer will support the Local Community Officer in making this exciting Christmas Campaign the best year yet!

The Christmas Memory Tree was first trailed in 5 churches in the west region 2015, last year the campaign went national and the tree appeared in over 50 churches. The idea is very simple, a Christmas Memory tree is installed in a church and visitors are encouraged to leave a message on a blank decoration and hang it on the tree. Local business and individuals are approached and asked if they would like to sponsor the tree, for this they get great promotion in their local area with their logo in a framed certificate next to the tree and their name written about all our press both nationally and regionally.

Past sponsors have included Breweries, Town Councils, Local Families, Antiques Shops, Housing Associations and many more.

You will assist in the delivery of finding out who these potential donors are. We need to know where they are, what they have given to before, what their links are to the CCT and our partners and who the best person to approach is in that group.

The role would be ideal for someone looking to develop a career in fundraising in a creative environment and the skills developed will be very transferable to a multitude of roles.
The role is based in the Bristol office or/ and at home
