Every year we buy wall calendars which are usually carefully chosen for their pleasing artwork or theme. Before one year has ended, we have already begun writing in occasions and appointments for the following year. We make notes of birthdays, special occasions, concerts, book launches, holidays and so on, which we read with pleasurable anticipation. Of course we also write in GP, hospital and dentist’s appointments, funerals, days of remembrance etc which are perhaps things we are not particularly looking forward to. As we turn the page at the end of each month, we see what lies ahead.

For our first writing workshop on the 20th of January we'll be looking to the march of the seasons, Chinese New Year and the history of changing dates to inspire you in writing exercises. Develop and share your voice in a supportive workshop.
