The St. Martin's Singers from Stamford bring you Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Stabat Mater is one of Pergolesi's most celebrated, sacred works, composed towards the end of his life and one of the few that can be attributed without a doubt to this Neapolitan baroque composer. Despite his premature death at the age of 26, Pergolesi is regarded as one of the greatest Italian composers of all time.

The programme also includes Unwatch'd by Alexander Campkin Five Poems of Mary Webb by Howard Skempton and a selection of Spirituals arranged by Hugh Roberton.
