Songs for a Summer Afternoon in Stanstead Abbotts

Join us for a special performance by the Priory Choir as they celebrate the summer in style at St James's!

Join us in the company of the Priory Choir for a special afternoon of summer music in the uniquely restful setting of St James's Church, Stanstead Abbotts. The event forms part of Celebrate Your Church week organised by the Churches Conservation Trust.

A wonderful festival of delightful summer songs!

The Priory Choir will perform a mixture of classical and popular singing - the common theme is that all will celebrate the summer season.

The performance will take place in the church itself from 4pm. Tickets for the performance will cost £10 per person with all profits going towards the upkeep of St James's.

Although tickets will be available on the door, it will help us if you could purchase your tickets through Eventbrite so we can predict numbers for the day.

Tours and Cream Teas

Earlier in the day, you can also enjoy free tours of the churchyard as well as cream teas. These form part of the wider Celebrate Your Church theme.

About St James's Church

St James's is a redundant church in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The Friends of St. James's, a group of dedicated local volunteers, organises a wide range of events during the year as well as helping to keep the church open to visitors during the summer months.
