This 30th anniversary performance of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas on June 20th 2026, marks an incredible milestone, taking place exactly 30 years since the first Music for Awhile concert.
200 performances later, join us to celebrate this remarkable musical journey inspired by the magical venue of All Saints, Alton Priors.
Performing in Dido are musical friends from some of the earliest Music for Awhile performances, alongside younger musical colleagues:
Frances Gregory (Dido), Frederick Long (Aeneas), Emma Walshe (Belinda), Amy Carson, Stephen Carter, Joseph Hancock
Instrumentalists Maggie Faultless, Rachel Stroud, Anna Curzon, Jonathan Manson, Christopher Bucknall.
