Warrior king, military commander, and one of England’s most iconic monarchs."

Join CCT and bestselling historian and broadcaster, Dan Jones, for an evening of compelling storytelling as he brings to life the remarkable story of Henry V.

This special event forms part of the Churches Conservation Trust’s Annual Lecture series, where history and heritage meet. Dan will explore not only the dramatic events of Henry V’s reign, including the legendary Battle of Agincourt, but also the cultural and religious world he inhabited — a world shaped by faith, ritual, and the enduring presence of the parish church.

As the national charity caring for historic churches at risk, the Churches Conservation Trust preserves sites that would have been familiar in Henry’s time, many adorned with exquisite medieval wall paintings.

Doors open at 19:00, with the lecture starting at 19:30. Tickets start from £20, with CCT members enjoying an exclusive discount. Each ticket includes a post-lecture wine reception — the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow history enthusiasts and supporters of historic places of worship.

This event is kindly supported by Dean and Chapter of Southwark Cathedral.
