Remembering Mahalia

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Mahalia France-Mir, Local Community Officer in our north regional team, on 20th January 2026. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Mahalia’s family and loved ones.

Mahalia, who had a background in local fundraising joined CCT in 2017 as a Community Fundraising Officer, later becoming Local Community Officer for Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. 

As a city councillor, Mahalia represented the Moortown ward on Leeds City Council for more than three years, after being elected in 2022. 

Mahalia will be remembered by her colleagues and friends for her compassion, kindness and enthusiasm and her legacy of her work will live on in our hearts and the communities she served.
