Have you had a particularly good experience when visiting a CCT Church or attending an event? Have you visited a church that was, for example decorated with flowers or harvest ornaments? Were you given a tour by one of our volunteers or have you attended an open day with marvellous cakes and refreshments? Our volunteers are the people who make your visit special, who add the heartfelt details and supply local knowledge that you can’t find anywhere else. If you have had a visit to a CCT church that has been made memorable by one of our volunteers, please nominate them for an award this year.

Our volunteer awards will take place on zoom on 4th June 2026 at 6pm. Awards are kindly sponsored by Marsh Charitable Trust and winners are rewarded with cash prizes. These prizes can have a huge impact on what volunteers are able to do at our churches.

You can see some testimonies of previous winners below.

This year’s categories are:

Regional Supporter of the Year (x3)

Team of the Year

Achieving Impact

Digital Initiative of the Year

Fundraising Achievement of the Year

Award for Creativity

If you are unsure what kind of achievements qualify for an award, you can read about last year’s winners here.

If you have someone you wish to nominate, please complete our online form

Requirements for nominations:

If the person or group you are nominating is personally known to you:

Let them know you are nominating them for an award and ask them for a picture you can submit alongside their nomination. Please, email this picture to comms@thecct.org.uk using the name of your nominee and their church location as the subject line. For example: Volunteer Awards, Mary Smith, Stockwood.

If the person or group you are nominating is not personally known to you:

Complete the form and then email comms@thecct.org.uk with the name of the church, stating that you don't have contact details for the volunteers there. This allows us to notify them that they have been nominated and arrange to get a picture.

General guidance:

Be as detailed as possible in your nomination. Please, submit a minimum of 100 words and provide some information on how this person got involved with the church they care for, what drives them, and the work they do.

Lastly, if you have nominated someone, please join us online on 4th June at 6pm to celebrate our volunteers.

Deadline for nominations is 9am on Monday 13th April 2026.

Date written: 11th February 2026
