Lifelong Learning

We offer a range of activities to suit people of different ages, interests and abilities. Alternatively, we can help you organise your own.

Lifelong Learning activities

We believe everyone should have an opportunity to connect with local history and culture: heritage for all. Our historic churches are open to everyone.

Our expert team organises 'hands-on' activities to suit all ages and areas of interest in historic churches across the country.  These lifelong learning opportunities are usually free, require no previous experience and give people the opportunity to try practising different crafts, learn new skills and gain a deeper understanding of a particular subject.  They are also a great way to socialise and to connect with other people in the community.

These events are open to all, but advanced booking may be required.

Organise your own event in a historic church

Many of our churches are ideal for tailored group activities. They are available for all sorts of groups including parent and baby groups, Scouts and Girl Guides, community action committees, and outings for older people. Some of our churches are fully equipped and available for venue hire.
