It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Mahalia France-Mir, Local Community Officer in our north regional team, on 20th January 2026. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Mahalia’s family and loved ones.

Community appeal launched to save Roecliffe’s historic window

A community-led appeal is raising £45,000 to conserve the historic Virgin and Child window at St Mary’s, Roecliffe, with £7,000 already secured to protect this important heritage feature.

Visitors were awestruck by the late medieval timber ceiling at Langport All Saints', in a rare opportunity to see the carvings up close.

Thanks to a successful fundraising campaign The Bedern Memorial Board will leave Holy Trinity on Monday 11 November to begin its restoration, ensuring the Roll of Honour can continue to tell the stories of York families affected by the war.
