August 3rd - CLARE O’CONNELL, SOLO CELLO: ‘LIGHT FLOWING’
The Isolated Cellist plays a selection of works ancient and modern for solo cello, all containing themes of light and flow. J.S. Bach, Caroline Shaw and Edmund Finnis are amongst the featured composers.
August 4th - DAVID LE PAGE, SOLO VIOLIN: ‘IN PRAISE OF SHADOWS’
Violin star David Le Page plays a selection of works ancient and modern. There will be loops, Biber, original music, Bach, Ysaye, Telemann, improvisation, re-imaginings of trad. Guernsey tunes, music by Philip Glass and Corigliano, all woven into a seamless hour.
THE CONCERT WILL FINISH AROUND 5PM AND BUBBLY WILL BE SERVED OUTSIDE THE CHAPEL AT THE END OF THE CONCERT
