Illuminating York at Holy Trinity - York
Helen Maurer draws on the rich history and atmosphere of Holy Trinity to create a compelling installation using light, glass and mirrors.
reConnecting reCreation draws on the rich history, architecture and atmosphere of this unique church to create a compelling installation using light, glass and mirrors. This 15th-century church, the only one in York to retain its box pews, is hidden away behind busy shopping streets in a leafy churchyard - a seclude gem to explore.
Artist Helen Maurer uses experimentation with materials and effects to develop her installations, and she also explores light and glass through film and photography. Helen regularly exhibits with Danielle Arnaud Gallery in London.
