All Souls Road, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX3 6DR
Join us over the HODs weekend for watercolour demonstrations and a walking tour.
Take the opportunity to explore this Halifax landmark - one of most magnificent buildings ever to be designed by architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. Paid for by Halifax manufacturer Edward Akroyd and completed in 1859, it has a 72-metre-high spire and dazzling stained glass created by Victorian master craftsmen. Scott thought it his best church but he still lamented it was not grander still.
On Saturday and Sunday, local watercolour artist Jane Austin will be providing watercolour demonstrations to encourage budding artists.
Then, join us on Sunday 10th at 11am for a walking tour of Ackroyden with Jackie Butterfield, local resident and CCT volunteer from All Souls Church.
