Site Inspection Area Volunteer – Northamptonshire
Do you love getting out and about in the countryside and visiting historic buildings? If so, the role of Area Volunteer could be for you!
We have been building up our Area Volunteer Team for the past four years, and currently have 16 across the South East. We have the opportunity for more volunteers to jointhis merry band!
Each Area Volunteer helps to care for a group of of 3-8 churches in a geographical area, visiting them at least four times a year. These activities are aimed to complement and support volunteers at individual churches, and to provide regular feedback to the Trust about building condition, visitor figures, donations, as well as ensure all our leaflets are topped up and up to date for our visitors.
If you join us as an Area volunteer you will have the opportunity to meet with local church based volunteers and explore the diverse array of churches in the CCT’s care, from tiny medieval rural chapels to large Victorian town centre churches.
This area covers six churches: St. John’s Wakerley, Holy Trinity Blatherwycke, St. Peter’s Deene, St. Andrew’s Cranford, All Saints’ Aldwincle and St. Andrew’s at Ufford, one of the CCT’s most recent acquisitions. All are rural and really some of the finest medieval treasures.
Access to your own computer and the internet are also advantageous in this role.
