2022 Annual Appeal: At the Heart of Communities. Always.

The Churches Conservation Trust is priviledged to care for a wonderful collection of historical and architecturally significant churches. Through our work with communities, we know the emotional and social value these buildings bring to the public.

Some of the buildings are rooted deep in the hearts of communities, whilst others stand alone in rural areas. CCT regularly witnesses how these special buildings inspire people to come together, revitalise communities and breathe new life into places so they can stand the test of time.

By keeping our churches free for everyone to enjoy, by encouraging new community partnerships, and by offering unique opportunities to engage with all elements of our work, we are ensuring that our 356 church all across England are loved and cared for both now and for the future.

In spite of challenging circumstances, last year we were able to engage with nearly 400 communities, including local, specialist, and school groups. As we learn to live with Covid and recover from months of restrictions, including having to close our church doors, it is vital that we continue to grow the number of people engaging with us and focus on inspiring as wide an audience as possible.

Our 2022 Annual Appeal is focused on ensuring that we are able to reach and engage with new and diverse individuals and groups, drawing them into our shared passion for all that historic churches can offer.

Donate towards our Annual Appeal today and support us in providing creative ways to deliver the school curriculum, welcome vulnerable individuals, and teach new skills to those who have few opportunities. We strive to not only support regular community led activities in our churches, but also to provide communities with the tools to support the management and care of their CCT church. We believe this approach empowers our communities and will encourage them to grow.

Through your vital support, we are able to ensure the long-term sustainability of these majestic spaces, buildings that would be nothing without the people who love and care for them.
